Second Saturdays at Re-Source York

2nd Saturday logoPLEASE NOTE: The Second Saturday workshop for women scheduled for October 12 has been canceled. Please stay tuned for info on future events.

The second Saturday of each month*, our home improvement store at 161 E. Ninth Avenue in North York opens its workshop from 10 am to 12 noon for a Make-&-Take and/or Learn-a-Skill Class geared toward women!

Each Second Saturday workshop offers learning opportunities for creative reuse projects made by repurposing cool “stuff” you can find in our stores with the added benefit of nuts and bolts tips and advice to make you a DIY Diva.

Classes are led by our staff and volunteers as well as guest DIY guru’s.  Local like-minded organizations and vendors are often also on hand, making the events even more fun.

Participants also receive a special coupon towards purchases from our amazing inventory!

Workshops require pre-registration* which includes a supplies fee (price based on the project). Space is limited. If there are openings day of event, workshop “at the door” fee is $5 more than pre-registration.

Whether you prefer sparkly diamonds or baseball diamonds, you’re going to find something to love about Second Saturdays at Re-Source York. We look forward to seeing you!

Past workshops have included:  marbelized paper as art or gift wrap, proper wall prep and hardware for hanging items on your walls, using heavy-duty adhesive to create home and garden sculptures using old glass and dinnerware, and more.

*Second Saturday workshops run September through May. There are no workshops June, July, and August.
