Second Saturday in September

socks_underwear_clipartPLEASE NOTE: Our 2nd Saturday workshop for women scheduled for Saturday, September 14 is being postponed until Saturday, October 12.  We will still be hosting our SOCKS & UNDIES DRIVE for children of Bell Family Shelter tomorrow. Bring these new items and/or make a cash donation of at least $10 and receive a 10% discount on your purchases (some restrictions apply).  Representatives of the Shelter will be on hand to answer your questions and share stories of the vital work being done to help homeless families in York County. Hope to see you!!

Calling all DIY Divas! Second Saturday workshops for women return to Re-Source York in September!

Take a little time for yourself – feel free to invite your favorite female friends and family, too – and join us on Saturday, September 14 from 10AM to 12 noon for our next store event designed just for you.

We’ll be combining power tool know-how, reclaimed materials, and customized creativity that will result in a make-and-take project just your style whether that is elegant, pop art, cottage chic, or rustic.

You’ll choose from our inventory of reclaimed cabinet doors, drawer handles from our ever-evolving stash, and then get down to business with help from our workshop facilitator to make your very own decorative tray.  In addition to techniques demonstrated at the workshop, we’ll provide a project sheet for you to take along home, inspiring additional ideas for creatively repurposing basic items on your own.

tray ideaOur guest non-profit spotlight that day will shine on the shelter services programs of our partner, Bell Socialization Services.  Learn about the vital services offered by York County’s only emergency shelter for homeless families where half of the 40 people in residence every night are under the age of 12.

Advance registration* is $10, which includes class instruction, project sheet, one reclaimed cabinet door and two handles (upgrade for additional materials), and a coupon for 15% off in-store purchases.  Event day at-the-door fee is $15 (same instruction, project sheet, and materials, and a 10% coupon) – provided there’s room.  Space is limited so sign up soon. You can register online on Eventbrite or pay in advance at the store.
